Nigeria’s biggest music reality show recorded some milestones last weekend. First, the show unveiled its outstanding ₦40 million set and then a set of 12 contestants were finally unveiled, dressed-to-impress in Nigeria’s most popular designers. It was the day for Sly1, Diwari, Chinedu, Nikki, Honey, Joe Blue, Ibinabo Romeo, Linda Giami, Mercy, Stephen Onochie and Najite. More details about Whitney's death released. Daughter rushed to the hospital

Whitney Houston was found dead in the bathtub by her bodyguard in a luxury suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel having accidentally overdosed on a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol, according to reports. Bottles of Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax and a sleeping medication were found in the hotel room. The drugs were believed to have acted as sedatives, causing her to fall asleep in the bathtub once they had been mixed with alcohol.

Whitney Houston's only child, Bobbi Kristina, 18, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following the death of her mother. She's since been discharged. I can't even imagine what this poor girl is going through.

But is there no way families can help drug addicts? Get them help before it ends in such a tragic way? Imagine passing out and drowning in a bathtub...not the way to go. RIP Ms Houston

A robber, who strongly believed he must show love to his lover on Valentine’s Day by any means possible, has been burnt to death by an irate mob in Warri, Delta State.

The Valentine lover was lynched and burnt to death by the mob after his failed attempt to steal gift items he intended to present to his lover from a boutique in Udu area of Delta State.

His stage name is Babsss. Real name - Babajide Obasanjo. The 18 year old just returned from London to study in a private university in Nigeria. Babsss is currently in the studio recording for a mixtape that is to drop in the middle of this year and I hear he is currently recording a remix of Davido's Damiduro ...and instead of omo baba olowo,  it will be tagged 'omo baba Obasanjo'. GOVERNOR PETER OBI GIVES BOKO HARAM VICTIMS 1MILLION NAIRA EACH

Anambra State Governor Peter Obi yesterday Sunday February 5th presented one million Naira cheques to 14 women who lost their husbands in the Boko Haram attacks that killed at least 20 Igbo tradesmen in Mubi, Adamawa state.

The men had convened for a town hall meeting early last month, when members of the Islamic sect opened fire on them, killing at least 20. They were all recently buried. The Adamawa state government have also promised to compensate the women.

Joining the judges table last weekend was none other than Nigeria’s first lady of rap Sasha P. The show presented nine contestants handpicked by the judges from the top 30 contestants to take another chance at the Nigerian Idol finals.

DESPIRATE LASTMA PUSHES A CONDUCTOR TO DEATH

A bus conductor this morning fell to his death after he was pulled down from a moving bus by a LASTMA official. Eyewitnesses say another vehicle ran over the conductor as he fell from his bus, killing him instantly. The incident happened around 11 am this morning at Motorways, Ikeja on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The people at the bus stop where it happened turned mob action and beat the LASTMA official to unconsciousness but was rescued by the police before they could kill him.
